Jen Clapp

Jen Clapp grew up showing in the hunters and equitation in California, then moved east where she was captain of the IHSA Equestrian Team at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She began eventing in 1992 and has successfully competed through Preliminary. She currently events her mare Sea Change at training level.

Jen has taught riding at the Stoneleigh-Burnham School, Mount Ida College, and Pine Fall Farm. In addition to teaching riding, Jen is a high school English teacher with over 20 years of classroom experience. She also volunteers for CANTER New England, fostering and retraining ex-racehorses and helping place them into new homes.

Katie Murphy

Katie Murphy’s primary objective is to train horse and rider in a positive manner, so they may both progress to the best of their ability while enjoying their work. She pursues excellence in education with renowned instructors and world-class equestrians. Katie teaches riders of all ages and backgrounds, and strives to share her knowledge through positive reinforcement and progressive exercises. Currently, Katie trains with Kim Severson, Leslie de Grandmaison and Ashley MacVaugh. She has worked with Robert Costello, Mike Plumb and Leslie Law, and attended clinics with Jim Wofford, Lucinda Green, and was a demonstration rider for Ingrid Klimke. Katie is a Certified Trainer with the USHJA.
